What We Believe

The Authority of Scripture

We Believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

" All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 2 Timothy 3:16 (NKJV)

The Triune God

We Believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--equal in power and glory.

"Go therefore and make disciples...baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)

Jesus Christ

We Believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return again in glory.

"In the beginning was the Word...and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." John 1:1,14 (NKJV)

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We Believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ--not by works.  Repentance and faith are essential responses to the gospel.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith...not of works." Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV)

Human Sin and Redemption

We Believe all people are born with a sinful nature and are in need of redemption through Christ alone.

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

Justification and New Birth

We Believe that through faith in Christ, believers are justified, forgiven, and born again by the work of the Holy Spirit.

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1 (NKJV)

Sanctification

We Believe sanctification is both instantaneous and progressive--a work of God's grace by which believers grow in holiness, love, and obedience through the power of the Holy Spirit.

"This is the will of God, your sanctification." 1 Thessalonians 4:3 (NKJV)

The Holy Spirit

We Believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates the believer, empowers holy living, and equips the Church for service and witness.

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1: 8 (NKJV)

The Church

We Believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers, called to worship God, preach the gospel, make disciples, and serve the world in love.

"Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually." 1 Corinthians12:27 (NKJV)

The Sacraments/Ordinances

We Practice Baptism and Holy Communion as commanded by Christ--signs of God's grace and means of spiritual nourishment.

"Do this in remembrance of Me." Luke 22: 19 (NKJV)

Christian Moral Living

We Believe Christians are called to live holy lives, guided by Scripture, honoring God in personal conduct, family, sexuality, stewardship, and love for others.

"Be holy, for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:16 (NKJV)

The Return of Christ and Eternal Destiny

We Believe Jesus Christ will return bodily, the dead will by raised, and all people will face final judgement--resulting in eternal life with God or eternal separation from Him.

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout." 1 Thessalonians 4:16 (NKJV)

Evangelism and Mission

We Believe the Church is called to proclaim the gospel faithfully, making disciples of all nations through word and deed.

"Go in all the world and preach the gospel." Mark 16:15 (NKJV)
